Holy Moly McJoley, this past weekend was both fun and exhausting. To start off due to traffic we ended up arriving ridiculously late to the blogger preview and I was so nervous that I could barely speak. I met Autumn from the Central Florida Beauty Bloggers and she and Melody helped me get a blogger preview goodie bag and I am forever grateful to these two kind women! I also met Brittany from Clumps of Mascara and had a chance to see Phyrra’s hair up close and its mesmerizing you guys!
We arrived around 12pm on the second day of the show and as soon as we walked in we saw makeup artist everywhere. The room was filled with laughter and excitement and I was so overwhelmed I immediately told my mom we should sit for the eyebrow seminar by Senna Cosmetics. As we made our way over there we saw a video crew and I’m pretty sure my mom pushed me through their interview. So to who ever that was please accept my apologies.
Once we were finally seated more people began to pour in and I started to think oh gosh I hope they still have Ben Nye Banana powder left at the Nigel’s Beauty Emporium booth after this seminars ends. Silly thought right?! But there were so many people there I didn’t want to miss my chance purchasing this highly discussed item. Sadly though I didn’t end up purchasing it but I’ll save that for the end of the post.
The seminar went well and I learned so much you guys. Senna Cosmetics has this cool brush on color gel for your eyebrows that feels them in while keeping those caterpillars in place. I really wanted their products but I didn’t bring enough money. Oh the agony right! Once we left the seminar I had the chance to speak with Gina, the owner of Fantabulash. A well designed product that makes applying your eyelashes a breeze.(you can see it pictured below with my other show goodies)
I enjoyed speaking with Gina and I can’t wait to share the lovely video interview with you lovely people. The Makeup Show was a wonderful event filled with seminars and vendors. But as I mentioned earlier I ended up not purchasing the Ben Nye banana powder that I originally planned to purchase because two of the makeup artist at the booth were rude and thought this occasion was a perfect time to release their sarcastic remarks about people purchasing the Ben Nye banana powder because the Kardashians wore it.
They said this in front of me and laughed as if they were the best comedians ever. All while staring at me with smirks as I tried to decide if I should purchase it or leave because I felt uncomfortable. These were two Beautiful women but next time even if you think it’s true keep your snide remarks to yourself. That attitude gave my mom and I a poor taste in our mouth so my mom handed her the Banana Powder back and we went to another booth. But that’s okay because I still love Nigel’s Beauty Emporium and I will be purchasing from their site soon.
